The Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC) participated in the International Forum on Good Automated Manufacturing Practice (GAMP), held under the title
“Pharma AI & CSV Forum: Powered by ISPE GAMP”, which was organized by the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) in collaboration with the German International University (GIU), at the New Administrative Capital, Egypt. The forum witnessed wide participation from regulatory authorities, academic institutions, and pharmaceutical industry experts at both the national and international levels.
EGAC’s participation reflects its continued commitment to keeping pace with global developments in quality, accreditation, and digital transformation, and to supporting the implementation of international best practices within vital industrial sectors, particularly the pharmaceutical industry, in a manner that enhances confidence in accreditation and conformity assessment systems and supports the national quality infrastructure.
EGAC was represented at the forum by Eng. Mohamed Hassan, Executive Manager of the Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC). The event was attended by senior officials from the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA), representatives of regulatory bodies, university presidents, deans of specialized faculties, and a distinguished group of international experts in GAMP principles, computerized systems validation (CSV), data integrity, and the application of artificial intelligence in the pharmaceutical industry.
The forum addressed several key topics, including Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements related to automation and digital systems, computerized systems validation, data integrity, and the use of artificial intelligence applications within pharmaceutical manufacturing, in line with the latest global regulatory trends and internationally recognized standards, with a focus on ensuring product quality and patient safety.
Participants also exchanged international experiences and best practices related to secure digital transformation and emphasized the importance of effective collaboration among regulatory authorities, accreditation bodies, and industrial organizations to support sustainable compliance and strengthen quality management systems within pharmaceutical facilities.
EGAC’s participation in this international forum underscores its role in promoting technical dialogue, knowledge exchange, and alignment with international developments in automation and digitalization, thereby contributing to the enhancement of institutional competence, the competitiveness of the pharmaceutical sector, and confidence in accreditation and conformity assessment outcomes at both the national and regional levels.
