As part of strengthening regional cooperation and supporting technical integration among accreditation bodies in sister countries, Eng. Mohamed Hassan Abdel Halim, Executive Director of the Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC), received a high-level delegation from the Republic of Sudan, representing Safat Aviation Group, one of Sudan’s leading companies operating in aircraft maintenance and overhaul services.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the Sudanese side’s interest in obtaining EGAC accreditation for the calibration laboratory of Safat Aviation Group, in accordance with the relevant international standards.
Eng. Mohamed Hassan Abdel Halim affirmed EGAC’s readiness to provide full technical support to the Sudanese counterparts, mobilize the best available technical expertise, and overcome any potential challenges to ensure the timely and efficient completion of the accreditation process, in line with internationally recognized requirements.
The Sudanese delegation expressed their great satisfaction with the cooperation with the Egyptian side, and their pride in working with the Egyptian Accreditation Council as one of the world’s leading accreditation bodies. They also emphasized their confidence that transferring EGAC’s distinguished expertise to the Sudanese side would play a vital role in achieving compliance with international standards governing the accreditation of calibration laboratories, and in enhancing the technical competence of Safat Aviation Group.
This meeting reflects EGAC’s ongoing regional role in supporting quality infrastructure systems across Arab and African countries, and in strengthening confidence in calibration and measurement results in accordance with international best practices.
