As part of the Egyptian Accreditation Council’s (EGAC) efforts to strengthen the national accreditation framework, Eng. Mohamed Hassan Abdel Halim, Executive Director of EGAC, received a delegation from United Industrial Services (UIS) at the Council’s headquarters.
This meeting followed the accreditation of UIS by EGAC as a Product Certification Body in accordance with the international standard ISO/IEC 17065, dated 23 January 2026, for a period of four years. During the visit, the Council officially handed over the accreditation certificates to the company’s delegation, reaffirming EGAC’s commitment to promoting technical accreditation and supporting national efforts to ensure the reliability of products and services in both local and international markets.
The discussions also addressed the prospects for expanding the company’s accreditation scope to include management systems and inspection activities, enabling UIS to broaden its services and strengthen its role in supporting product quality and conformity assessment. Notably, UIS operates two branches, one in the Arab Republic of Egypt and another in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, reflecting its regional presence and its capability to deliver services in line with the highest international standards for product certification.
This visit aligns with EGAC’s strategic objectives to foster collaboration with accredited entities, support institutional development, and expand accreditation coverage to meet market needs, ensuring that companies comply with international standards that guarantee the quality and safety of products and services provided to consumers.
