As part of the Egyptian government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen transparency, community engagement, and sustainable development practices, entities affiliated with the Ministry of Industry have received directives to enhance awareness of the “Sharek 2030” application, launched by the Ministry of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation.

The application aims to support participatory planning mechanisms by encouraging citizens to contribute ideas, proposals, and development initiatives aligned with Egypt Vision 2030 and the country’s sustainable development goals.

The directives were issued in line with an official communication from the Ministry of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, emphasizing the importance of expanding electronic participation channels and enhancing interaction between citizens and governmental institutions. The initiative also seeks to involve citizens in monitoring and evaluating development projects while improving Egypt’s international ranking in e-participation indicators.

The directives further highlighted the importance of integrating the application’s QR Code into official websites and promoting the platform through social media channels operated by various governmental entities. This approach aims to facilitate citizens’ access to development-related initiatives and strengthen public engagement in national planning processes.

“Sharek 2030” is considered one of the government’s key digital initiatives designed to support digital transformation and establish effective communication channels between state institutions and citizens. The initiative contributes to reinforcing governance, transparency, and sustainable development principles through inclusive community participation and collaborative planning.

These efforts reflect the state’s commitment to utilizing modern digital tools to improve institutional communication and encourage citizens’ active participation in identifying development priorities and following up on national projects, in alignment with the objectives of the New Republic and Egypt Vision 2030.
