Within the framework of supporting quality and accreditation systems and enhancing confidence in laboratory testing results at both national and international levels, the Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC) has granted international accreditation to the Central Laboratory of the Faculty of Fish Resources – Suez University, in accordance with the requirements of the international standard ISO/IEC 17025 for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.
This accreditation was awarded after the laboratory successfully fulfilled all technical and managerial requirements of the standard and passed the assessment process conducted by EGAC, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of microbiological testing results for fish and fish products in line with internationally recognized standards.
The accreditation represents a significant step toward strengthening the role of academic institutions in supporting the Egyptian industry, enhancing laboratory infrastructure, and reinforcing confidence in laboratory results, thereby contributing to scientific research and sustainable development goals.
EGAC reaffirms its commitment to supporting laboratories and research institutions and to promoting a culture of quality and accreditation, enhancing Egypt’s regional and international standing in the field of conformity assessment.
