Within the framework of its pivotal role in supporting the National Accreditation System and promoting a culture of quality, governance, and sustainability, the Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC) participated in the official ceremony held to mark the awarding of international management system certificates to Misr El Kheir Foundation. The event took place at Abdeen Palace in Cairo, with the attendance of senior government officials, executive leaders, and prominent public figures.
EGAC’s participation reflects the importance of accreditation as a fundamental pillar in ensuring the integrity, impartiality, and credibility of conformity assessment and certification activities, as well as in strengthening confidence in accredited certification bodies at both the national and international levels.
During the ceremony, a number of international management system certificates were awarded to Misr El Kheir Foundation following the successful completion of comprehensive audit and assessment activities in accordance with the applicable international standards. These activities were carried out by a certification body operating under formal accreditation granted by the Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC), ensuring compliance with the principles of impartiality, technical competence, and evidence-based evaluation.
EGAC emphasized that the accreditation of certification bodies represents a core component of the national quality infrastructure, contributing to the reliability and credibility of management systems implemented by organizations across various sectors, including civil society institutions. This, in turn, supports organizational sustainability, effective risk management, and business continuity, in line with international best practices.
The Council further highlighted that supporting the application of accredited management systems within institutional charitable and development organizations enhances operational efficiency, transparency, and governance, while ensuring the optimal use of resources and the quality of services provided to beneficiaries, thereby strengthening public trust in this vital sector.
EGAC reaffirmed that the National Accreditation System serves as the primary assurance mechanism for the credibility of certification and assessment activities, as it is based on internationally recognized standards and subject to continuous oversight and periodic evaluations to ensure ongoing compliance with quality, impartiality, and credibility requirements.
The Egyptian Accreditation Council continues its efforts to support national institutions across all sectors and to promote the culture of accreditation and quality, contributing to the enhancement of Egypt’s position at the regional and international levels and supporting the country’s sustainable development and good governance objectives.
