Within the framework of strengthening cooperation with national industrial institutions and supporting quality and accreditation systems in accordance with the latest international standards, the Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC) signed a cooperation protocol with Alexandria Petroleum Additives Company (APAC).
The protocol was signed by Eng. Mohamed Hassan Abdel Halim, Executive Director of EGAC, and Chemist Salah Bahnasy, Chairman and Managing Director of Alexandria Petroleum Additives Company (APAC), reflecting the commitment of both parties to enhancing institutional partnerships that contribute to improving technical performance and promoting the implementation of quality and accreditation systems across various industrial sectors.
The cooperation protocol aims to implement specialized and accredited training programs in the fields of quality and accreditation, targeting laboratory personnel working in chemical laboratories, in line with the latest relevant international standards. This will contribute to enhancing technical competence, ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements, and maintaining sustainable laboratory performance.
The protocol also focuses on supporting the dissemination of quality and accreditation culture, exchanging technical expertise, and developing the skills of human resources working in testing and chemical analysis activities, thereby enhancing product quality and increasing the competitiveness of national companies in local, regional, and international markets.
It is worth noting that the chemical laboratories of Alexandria Petroleum Additives Company (APAC) are internationally accredited by the Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC), reflecting the company’s strong commitment to international standards and its continuous efforts to improve quality systems and technical performance.
This cooperation comes as part of EGAC’s ongoing role in supporting accredited bodies, building technical capacities, and enhancing confidence in testing and calibration results, contributing to national economic development and supporting sustainable development goals through effective collaboration between accreditation bodies and industrial institutions.
